Caught on Tape

In a South Florida town, residents are finding out the cost of breaking curfew.

In July Fort Pierce Police Officer Daniel Gilroy was seen arresting 15-year-old Shelwanda Riley for breaking the city's curfew.

In a video, recorded on the officers dashboard video camera, Gilroy warned Riley to stop resisting arrest, when she didn't comply he was seen twisting her arm, punching her, and pepper spraying her in the face. The punch and pepper spray came after Riley bit the officer on the wrist.

WPBF-TV in West Palm Beach reports that Riley was allegedly carrying a garbage bag full of clothes with tags still attached.
